Dear John

Global heating, as its name suggests, is a planet-wide emergency.

But we can’t rely on world leaders alone to fix the climate crisis. Every village, town and city has a role to play.

So please ask to deliver a strong climate action plan full of real solutions to cut greenhouse gas emissions. With the UN climate talks starting in Glasgow in a few weeks, we urgently need local councils to show leadership before it’s too late.
I'LL ADD MY VOICE
Last month’s IPCC report was described by the head of the UN as “a code red for humanity” [1].

Although the report was scary to read there were glimmers of hope. Scientists say there’s still a chance to avoid the worst possible impacts.

That will require worldwide action and global cooperation. But many of the solutions to the crisis lie in our local communities.

From creating next-generation green jobs to improving public transport, your council has the power to implement an action plan that makes climate solutions a reality.

It’ll only take a minute or two to ask  to deliver a strong climate action plan, so please make your voice heard today.
I'LL ADD MY VOICE
If you don’t live in you’ll be able to select your actual local authority after clicking either of the buttons above.

Thanks for reading.

Best wishes,
