Hi John,
Have you ever wanted to send targeted voter registration information to your list based on state? Or set up a mobile survey without a million steps or complex liquid? Or personalize your fundraising asks based on where your donors live? Our big feature this week, Personalization Datasets, allows you to do all of this easily — and much more!
Personalization Datasets
This new feature is available in the Details drop down menu, and it makes it even easier to send personalized emails and mobile messages to your activists. Personalization datasets allow you to relate content (like voter registration information) to a field (like state) and output that content in an email, mobile message, or ladder using the clip that we create for you.
The setup is simple! Just follow the below instructions:
-
Create your CSV (example below) relating your field (key) to your content (value).
-
Upload your CSV, give it a title, and select the field your upload is based on (in this example, State).
-
Copy and paste the clip we create for you in an email, mobile message, or automated ladder and hit send!

Other updates worth noting:
The President and Vice President are now built-in targets for letter and call campaigns!
New ‘took a specific action’ webhook, documentation here. What is a webhook?
More speed improvements to Group Manage page, activist view, and targeting pages
We now support mobile snippets in addition to email snippets
We’re also excited to report that the House of Representatives API now accepts the gender neutral title Mx. Activists will be able to select Mx when sending a letter to their representative. This is not true for all of the Senate side (yet).
We hope you enjoy these new updates! Check out our release notes to follow along with what’s new on Action Network.
Take care,
