Dear John,
Empty supermarket shelves have become a post-Brexit staple.
UK Trade & Business Commission has recommended
solutions - Add your name in support
Supplies in UK shops continue to fall short. The lack of delivery
drivers is pushing haulage costs up and supermarkets may be forced to
pass on food price increases to customers.
It seems Brexit and its consequences continue to wreak havoc on
some of Britain’s most vulnerable. This, at a time when inflation is
projected to rise to more than 4% and claimants face the end of the
£20 a week uplift to Universal Credit.
Sign the petition and put pressure on the government to
make real changes. Let’s make them listen, and fix
post-Brexit food insecurity.
Next week, the UK Trade and Business Commission will
publish its interim report. Best for Britain is proud to be
the Commission’s secretariat.
In this report, which is based on six-months of evidence gathering,
the Commission will highlight barriers and difficulties that British
industries are facing with post-Brexit trade. The report recommends
practical solutions which would allow the Government to alleviate the
worst effects of food insecurity.
Help us make them listen.
Today, I’m asking you to support
our new campaign, which urges the Government to remove the
Brexit-induced barriers to food security and reverse the cuts to
Universal Credit.

the Government know that we mean business, sign our
