Thank you for your advocacy and for all the work you have done to make sure that the single use plastic bag fee became a reality in Fairfax County!

Many of you have worked for years with state legislators, and county supervisors trying to get the state legislature to pass a bill allowing municipalities to write an ordinance on single use plastic bags. When the state did pass legislation in 2020, many began working with your supervisors seeking their support.

To all the people who have written, called, visited in person and via zoom, and provided testimony thank you .

Without your efforts we would not have seen the single use plastic bag fee ordinance passed.
