Dear John,
South Sudan, the world's youngest country established in 2011, quickly moved into a devastating period of civil war and displacement of 4 million people to safer areas. African Enterprise’s work has been to facilitate peace and reconciliation in the lead up to the 2014 Ceasefire and to outreach to one of the world's largest refugee camps Bidi Bidi in Northern Uganda.
We would appreciate your prayers as we work towards peaceful dialogue between opposing parties, trauma healing initiatives and strengthening the church for mission and development activities.
The Lord hears the cry of the vulnerable and traumatised communities, and your care and love for these majority Christian people has outworkings through AE activities to establish a South Sudanese office and coordinate our efforts from there.
Please pray for:
-
Our work amongst parliamentarians in the area of godly servant leadership
-
Trauma healing programs amongst young people and vulnerable persons recovering from violence and fear
-
Our partnerships with other Christian organisations to help deliver essential services
-
Building the church in unity and preparedness for mission in the capital city Juba
-
For wise choices for a future South Sudanese board of directors
-
For the funding required to consistently and sustainably love the people of South Sudan in the name of Jesus in practical and discipleship ways
-
For our pastor training programs in the area.
-
To help us in guiding these children to discover their voice within
-
The opportunity that the wounds of war will be healed through our programs.
Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16
God Bless,
