It seems more like the words of someone wishing they got an A on a test or a promotion at work — not the words of the governor referring to his plan to deal with the rise of COVID cases in Georgia.

Yet, those were the exact words Brian Kemp spoke when asked about the state's plan for dealing with the ongoing pandemic.

Instead of instituting statewide mask mandates or vaccine incentives, he's crossing his fingers. And while he’s doing nothing to slow the virus’s spread, he has also BARRED LOCAL GOVERNMENTS from protecting their communities with mask and vaccine mandates.
