Message from the President: 

BCTGM Negotiators Reach a Tentative Agreement with Nabisco/Mondelez

International President Anthony Shelton issued the following statement following negotiations between the BCTGM and Nabisco/Mondelez:

“Very late last night, BCTGM negotiators reached a tentative agreement with Nabisco/Mondelez on a new contract.  In the coming days, the Local Union officers on the bargaining committee will present the tentative agreement to their respective memberships who will then vote on the agreement.”

AFL-CIO Pres. Shuler Visits Richmond, Va. Nabisco Strike Line

Solidarity on Nabisco picket lines across the country has been incredible. Last week, BCTGM Local 358 members on strike in Richmond, Va. were visited by International President Anthony Shelton, International Secretary-Treasurer David Woods and the President of the AFL-CIO, Liz Shuler.

Labor Day weekend, Local 1 gathered on the strike line with families and friends and were joined by AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Tefere Gebre, Bob Reiter, President of the Chicago Federation of Labor, and scores of other labor and community supporters.
