Hi Friend, did you see this?

Like Darcy, I’m so proud of my identity as a Texas Latina, and everything that goes with it. For my entire life, I’ve seen just how hard the people in my community work to bring about a better future for all of us. Latinos across Texas are pushing our state forward every day -- and that takes vision, and drive, and power.

But Friend, that progress is under attack. Republican leaders like Abbott have seen the power and strength of the Latinx community coming together and to them, it’s a threat. And that’s because we are demanding better. We are demanding leaders who put people first, who don’t trample on immigrants, who respect our Latino heritage instead of just falling in line with Trump, who care about the future of our state and not just about their own bottom line.

That’s the leadership we deserve. And if we mobilize to protect Latino voters’ right to be heard, we’ll have a serious shot at building a more equitable Texas. Will you chip in $7 right now to push our Latino voter registration efforts forward?

¡Feliz mes de la herencia hispana! Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

During this time, we focus on and celebrate the Latino voices and stories that make us who we are as a state. The Texas we know and love would be unrecognizable without the dreams, vision, hope, and hard work of generations of Latino families. This month is about celebrating that heritage -- and redoubling our efforts to protect the rights of our community.

Yo soy orgullosamente Latina y Tejana. We’re all at the heart of the fight for a better Texas, and whether it’s young Latinx organizers on the ground or hard working folks from my parents’ generation and before, we are all critical in pushing our progressive movement forward every single day. But right now, we’re also facing major new obstacles -- because we are being directly targeted in Texas Republicans’ efforts to silence voters. Hoy, ante los ataques republicanos, hay que estar unidos en la lucha:

Latinos make up 40% of our state’s population. We are the face of Texas -- yet Texas Republicans are hellbent on silencing our voices. Why? Because they know when we speak loud and clear, we’ll vote them out of office. If we stand united, we can build a movement and show Texas Republicans just how powerful our voices are.

Las voces latinas tienen poder. ¡Y los votantes latinos tienen poder! Every Latino voter should be able to make their voice heard -- without having to clear Texas Republicans’ massive, discriminatory hurdles.

Friend, we have a plan to make that happen. It’s Texas Democrats' Project Texas, and it’s our strategy to register voters in every corner of Texas -- including hundreds of thousands of Latino voters. But we have to be all in, from now until next November’s elections. Will you chip in $7 or whatever you can to power our Latino voter registration push and show Texas Republicans the strength in our numbers?

Hispanic Heritage Month reminds us of the incredible strength, resilience, and impact made by the generations who came before us, and how much work there still is to be done. Gracias por luchar día tras día con nosotros por el futuro de nuestra comunidad.
