John, it’s not every day you see a fighter like Katie Porter in Congress.
From keeping the pressure on elected officials to questioning Big Pharma CEOs and making them answer for their actions—Katie’s proved time and again that she’s an effective leader who gets results for working families, in Orange County and beyond.
But here’s the thing, John: Katie is able to be as impactful as she is because of the support she gets from our grassroots team. She is able to continue fighting in Congress because of the grassroots contributions we receive from emails like this one—which fuel the work we do to keep her fighting for us in Washington.
The work that Katie does is all thanks to folks who chip in $5, $10, or even $15 at a time to support this movement. It all adds up. And the truth is, if we don’t stay on track with our fundraising targets and reach our goals, it could put Katie in a vulnerable spot when GOP candidates start to enter the race to defeat her in 2022.
The more fundraising we’re able to do now, the more long-term organizing and advertising we’ll be able to do to keep this district blue and hold onto our House majority. Furthermore, having more resources will also make us more competitive against the millions of dollars that the NRCC and the GOP will inevitably flood into our district—all to unseat Katie.
