We’re in a really important moment that could decide if a big, bold reconciliation package passes, or if conservative Democrats and the Republican Party manage to block it. If you want a bold bill that will address climate, immigration, lowering drug prices, and more (see a full list below), we need you to call your member of Congress now and tell them to pass the bill.

Why is it urgent that you call today?

Well, yesterday some news outlets started publishing the names of members of the Progressive Voting Bloc -- that’s the Democrats who are sticking together to insist that this bill pass before the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework (💪💪💪). Having the list out there will make it easier for conservative corporate lobbyists to start pressure campaigns of their own. So we need to make sure that the progressives know we’ve got their backs right away.

As a reminder, here’s what we are fighting for, and why it’s so important to pass an inclusive recovery:

  • A pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants;
  • Lowering drug prices, expanding Medicare to cover vision, dental, and hearing, and lowering the eligibility age to 60 years old;
  • Investments in climate, including a Clean Energy Standard (with no fossil fuels!) and a Civilian Climate Corps;
  • Investments in housing, especially deeply affordable housing and housing for unhoused populations; 
  • Historic investments in the care economy including universal child care, paid leave, and home and community-based care; and
  • Address extreme wealth inequality by taxing the ultra-rich and big corporations so they finally pay their fair share.

Congress must deliver on Biden’s recovery agenda. This is a crucial, must-pass bill that will help pretty much everybody in the entire country. We have to do everything we can to get it passed.
