I wanted to introduce myself and share a bit about why it’s so important that we win North Carolina’s Senate race and elect Cheri.

It’s Dory, Cheri’s communications director. I wanted to introduce myself and share a bit about why it’s so important that we win North Carolina’s Senate race and elect Cheri.

We all know that the Senate majority is at risk. It’s 50-50 now, and North Carolina can decide whether we can hold (or hopefully expand!) that margin next year.

This is one of only three toss-up Senate races in the entire country, according to the Cook Political Report.

Our ability to make progress in our state and across the country could hinge on the outcome of this race. Cheri could be the deciding yes vote on legislation to protect voting rights, codify reproductive freedom, combat climate change and more. But first, we have to win this race, and that’s where folks like you come in:

Will you pitch in $3 to our campaign today to help us send Cheri Beasley to the Senate and defend our majority? Cheri could cast the deciding vote on critically important legislation, and your support can make that possible.

We know this race is going to be tough, and it's going to be expensive. But there is no doubt that Cheri is the person who can win.

I joined this team because Cheri will be the kind of Senator who fights tirelessly for our state and stands up for what’s right. It’s who she is, and what she’s always done.

But we also need someone who can win. And that’s Cheri. She is the only candidate in this race — Democrat or Republican — to win twice statewide. And in 2020, she earned more votes than almost every Democrat on the ballot, including Joe Biden — and more than Thom Tillis.

That is a testament to Cheri’s record of serving North Carolina and her unique ability to motivate and persuade voters in a purple state like North Carolina.

She has spent her life in service to North Carolina, and it is clear she is the person our state needs and deserves to represent us in the Senate. I know that she will fight for all of us — but first, we must have her back in this fight if we’re going to flip this seat.
