John, we can't root out inequality – in the health care system, in the arena of voting rights, or elsewhere – if we lose the Senate. 

Mitch McConnell has made that much clear. And in light of our fragile 50-50 majority, I'm going to ask you to make a donation to Catherine Cortez Masto in a moment, because defending our majority depends on Catherine's race.

CNN is calling Catherine one of the most vulnerable Democratic senators in the entire country, and GOP outside groups have already spent over $1 million to defeat her. And their attacks seem to be working: The Cook Political Report just downgraded her chances of winning.

Over a million dollars. More than a year before Election Day. Catherine's race isn't getting the attention it deserves – it's going to be tough and could cost Democrats the Senate. Catherine won by just 2 points in 2016, and spending like this shows the GOP is going all in to flip this seat and the Senate.

Nevada Senate races are always close – and the Senate Republicans' campaign arm just raised $28 million which they could dump into Nevada at any moment. Without your immediate grassroots support, we could lose this seat – and hand the Senate back to Mitch McConnell.
