I'm Rachel Bovard, Senior Director of Policy for the Conservative Partnership Institute. I'm writing to you today to tell you about the most ambitious technology policy campaign in the history of the conservative movement: the Digital Defense Initiative.
Big Tech is a Big Problem.
They care more about their friends in the Chinese Communist Party than they care about truth - so they covered up the evidence of the Covid lab leak.
They care more about woke socialism than they care about free speech - so they censored Donald Trump and other conservative voices who challenged their lies.
The Left likes to talk tough about Big Business, but they don't mean a word of it. When the corporations use their power to hurt conservatives, liberals love it. If the American people are going to take back control of our political debate, CONSERVATIVES have to lead this fight.

The Digital Defense Initiative is doing what CPI does best - working with members of Congress, their staffs, grassroots organizations, conservative media and thought leaders to develop a comprehensive strategy to take our freedom back from the woke billionaires trying to hijack it.
There are three fronts in this fight:
1. Antitrust enforcement. Conservatives stand against concentrated power - whether in government, the media, or in corporate America. Antitrust laws exist to protect citizens. So CPI is helping conservative state Attorneys General and members of Congress understand the threat, the stakes, and the strategies we need to win.
2. Section 230 reform. Today the federal government gives Big Tech companies unique immunity from liability for over even the vilest activity on their sites - human trafficking posts, revenge porn, and anti-American censorship. CPI is working to develop iron-clad reforms to Section 230 to finally force Big Tech to play by the same rules as everyone else.
3. Data privacy and portability. Big Tech companies have exploited their users for years. They seize identities, personal information, and effectively spy on us all. CPI is building support for new policies to end Big Tech's domestic espionage, especially to protect America's children.
At CPI, our job is to sharpen conservatives' swords for the biggest, toughest fights in America today.
