For the past 27 years, the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza has been imposed on the Palestinian people with the collaborative efforts of the PA. A function of the Oslo Accords, the PA plays the role of a subcontractor to Israel’s settler-colonial designs. Therefore, the Palestinians are subject to both an Israeli occupation and PA repression, working hand in hand to further subjugate the Palestinian people in their quest for justice and liberation. This webinar will focus on PA repression from a personal, as well as a political, perspective. The mechanism for PA repression is necessarily intertwined with US and Israeli policy. As an institution, the PA would not exist without the latter two. - Dr. Osama Abuirshaid: Executive Director and a board member of American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), and co-author of the study: "Hamas: Ideological Rigidity and Political Flexibility.”
