"Climate change could trigger migration of 216 million people, World Bank warns"
— NBC News
Yesterday a newly released report from the World Bank included the latest dire predictions about the global impact of the climate crisis in the next 30 years if bold action is not taken.
But that same report had an important silver lining — it found that climate impact can be reduced by as much as 80 percent if we take serious action NOW. And our Build Back Better Budget does just that. It includes vital funding to dramatically expand clean energy investments, assist communities to take steps to counteract the impact of climate change, and help move us to a post-fossil fuel economy. And my Polluters Pay Climate Fund legislation would ensure that the worst emitters of greenhouse gasses pay their share to fix the problem they helped create.
We have a huge fight ahead of us. But we also have a huge opportunity to take bold action by passing our budget reconciliation package and including the Polluters Pay Climate Fund bill. As you might expect, Big Oil is doing everything they can to push back against this legislation — but we can beat them with people power.
I’m asking you to join us in this important fight. Can you pitch in $5, or whatever you are able, to help us win the fight for bold Climate Action? Your support helps us build a strong grassroots movement to advance the kinds of legislative proposals that will make real, meaningful action on the climate crisis a reality. [[link removed]]

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the climate crisis, you’re not alone. But please, whatever you do, don't give up hope. We can take on this challenge if we do it together.
Thank you.
