New Hampshire Republicans just defunded Planned Parenthood, friend.

From cancer screenings to family planning services, Planned Parenthood has provided thousands of Granite Staters with primary and preventative care for years – and this disastrous vote will threaten access to care for women and families across our state.

This isn't the first time women's reproductive freedom has been under attack in New Hampshire. A restrictive abortion ban, along with mandatory ultrasound requirements, was recently signed into law, with no exceptions for rape, incest, or fatal fetal anomaly.

But it's not just in New Hampshire. Across the country, Republican-led legislatures are restricting access to women's health care like contraception, cancer screenings, and abortion. In Texas, the most restrictive abortion ban in the country went into effect this month after the Supreme Court rejected an emergency request to block the legislation.

Attacks like these are deeply troubling, as the Supreme Court has rendered Roe v. Wade essentially meaningless. I will always fight for a woman's right to access safe and affordable reproductive health care and her constitutionally protected right to choose if and when to start a family. That's why I have led efforts in the Senate to protect Title X family planning centers like Planned Parenthood.

At a time when Roe v. Wade is under attack like never before, it's imperative that we have a pro-choice Democratic majority in the Senate. That's why I'm reaching out to you today.
