Hey John,

I don’t like to drop in scary headlines like this, but with the stakes as high as they are right now, I thought you should know what the experts are saying.

As it stands, Republicans are projected to take back the House in 2022. Between aggressive GOP gerrymanders and historical trends dating back a century, experts believe the Democratic House majority in serious peril.

But John -- here’s what the experts don’t know: grassroots Democrats here on Long Island have been laying the groundwork for years in this district. And now with a candidate like Kara Hahn running in this open seat, the opportunity is here to finally flip NY-01 blue.

This all comes as our reproductive rights and access to the ballot box are being bombarded by state legislators across the county. If extreme Republicans take back the House, it's safe to say these dangerous movements will continue to gain traction.
