FIRST: Democrats in Texas fled the state to try to stop an extreme anti-voter bill.
THEN: Texas' governor threatened to arrest Democratic lawmakers, forcing them to return.
NOW: Governor Greg Abbott has signed the anti-voter bill into law.
This is bad news, friend, and we can't overstate how dangerous this law is. It BANS drive-thru voting, 24-hour polling locations and drop boxes for mail ballots. It disproportionately impacts Black voters and their ability to cast their ballots.
Derek is fighting in Congress to put a stop to these blatant attacks on our democracy, but his efforts take resources. In order to keep Derek fighting for all of us, we need to meet every goal we set.
