Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate seat is wide open, and Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have the resources to flood Pennsylvania with dark money and attack ads to try to keep this toss-up seat red.

In fact, Senate Republicans just broke their own fundraising records with an $8 million haul last month alone. If the money they poured into the last Senate election in Pennsylvania was any indication, they’ll go all out to try to defeat Democratic candidates like Val.

It would be a disastrous setback for Pennsylvania and our country if any of the candidates won this seat. The Republicans running:

❌ Don't support legislation that will make life better for workers and families — Every single candidate came out against the American Rescue Plan that provided millions in pandemic relief and gave crucial support to families with children.

❌ Don’t support creating good-paying union jobs or rebuilding our infrastructure — They also opposed the *bipartisan* infrastructure package, which will create lots of good-paying jobs, including here in Pennsylvania, and make historic investments in our infrastructure that workers are counting on.

❌ Don't trust our elections — The GOP candidates are all election deniers who are undermining confidence in our elections. Sean Parnell even led a bad-faith effort to invalidate millions of Pennsylvanians’ legally-cast votes, advancing Trump’s big lie so he could get his endorsement in this race.

With a 50/50 Senate, we simply cannot let *any* of these candidates anywhere near the U.S. Senate next year. That’s why it couldn’t be more important to flip this red seat blue — and Val is the candidate who can do it. As chair of Pennsylvania’s third-largest county, she’s shown she can deliver lasting results, from guaranteeing a $15 an hour minimum wage and paid parental leave for county employees, to building one of the Commonwealth’s strongest economies.
