For March For Our Lives’ chapter members, the final weeks of summer recess mean two things: Preparing for fall classes and preparing to take down the NRA’s puppet politicians. 💀

If we haven’t met, I’m Gaby Salazar, National Organizing Director at March For Our Lives. I was born and raised in South Florida, so I know what it’s like to be fed up with senators who spend more time paying lip service to corrupt NRA leaders than they spend listening to their constituents. After committing to gun violence prevention following the shooting at Pulse nightclub, Senator Rubio has done nothing but lie and continue taking the NRA’s dirty money. And he’s certainly not the only one.

Frankly, we are sick and tired of hearing one thing from our representatives when the cameras are on and seeing another behind closed doors when their reelection coffers are empty. So our teams on the ground have been raising hell and making our voices heard. 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Today, we have over 23,000 volunteers across the country who continue to fight for gun violence prevention measures at the local, state, and national levels. Oftentimes, we can make the most radical change in our own communities, and that’s exactly why our volunteers are regularly meeting and mobilizing to hold our representatives accountable.

I wanted to reach out to you, John, because we need your voice in this movement.
