This month, the Supreme Court allowed an invasive, despicable abortion law to take effect in Texas. And days later, Texas Governor Abbott signed another law attacking the voting rights that serve as the foundation to our democracy.

Make no mistake: these laws are inextricably connected. Extreme Republican attacks on our democracy lead to extremity everywhere else -- in the House, in the Senate, and in the Supreme Court.

Republicans have their playbook: Make it harder to vote, accept limitless support from dark money groups, and force through extreme laws. You better believe here in Minnesota, they’ll use every page in the book to tear us down.

To fight back, we’ve set a goal of raising $5,000 by our mid-month deadline -- midnight Friday. This is our last mid-month drive before the biggest official FEC deadline we’ve faced this cycle. Will you chip in today so we can show the strength of the grassroots movement we’re building?

Here in Minnesota’s Third District, we’re practicing a different kind of politics. One where we listen to people, not extreme partisan PACs, and where we can all talk to our neighbors (rather than suing them like the anti-choice law in Texas allows).
