Dear Friend, [link removed] [[link removed]]

I hope you will join me at 2pm ET today to discuss your remembrances and the impacts of 9/11 [[link removed]] during our Coffee & Column conversation.

After sharing my recollections of 9/11 in a variety of forums, I asked to hear from you and those who work with our community about their 9/11 experiences. I wanted to know how you felt on that tragic day. Your experiences after and how 9/11 may have changed your life. I wanted to know because so much of our story, the Arab American experience of 9/11, has been ignored in the coverage around this 20th anniversary.

The outpouring of replies is incredibly moving. For many, it was the first time they had spoken holistically about their experiences and feelings since that horrific day. I’m sharing a few excerpts from the responses we received on our blog [[link removed]] and withholding the identities of individuals to protect their privacy.

Thank you to all who shared your story. And for those that still cannot share, for whatever reason, know that we understand and care about your experience.

Please consider joining us today at 2pm ET [[link removed]] . You can also find some of the experiences you shared, collected here [[link removed]] .

Thank you,

Jim
