I wanted to make sure you saw Karen’s intro, John.
We are so lucky to have Karen on our team. Each one of us is in this work to build a better Minnesota for everyone in our state. And this work has never been more critical.
We know the 2022 midterms are going to be a tough fight. It’s going to take everything we’ve got to hold onto the Governor’s Office, Attorney General’s Office and end GOP obstruction in the Minnesota Legislature by taking back the MN Senate.
We’ve already ramped up our grassroots organizing presence in competitive districts across the state (earlier than ever before, too!), but we can’t sustain our efforts without your support.
We’re less than halfway to Friday’s goal and are counting on you. Please, chip in right away to provide our organizing teams with everything they need to continue organizing statewide – anything helps!

Thank you,
Nora Ptacek
Finance Director
Minnesota DFL
John,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Karen, and I’m proud to be the new Deputy Finance Director here at the Minnesota DFL.
I first put my passion for politics into action as a grassroots lobbyist for immigrant and human rights. We are a nation of immigrants, and Minnesota has thrived by welcoming those looking for a new place to call home. Regardless of your background or what you look like, Minnesota is a place where our shared commitment to making our state a better place strengthens us and unites us.
In 2020, I started working at the DFL as an organizer, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and fighting to make sure we lived up to our values. And make no mistake, these values will be on the ballot again in 2022.
Despite Donald Trump’s loss in 2020, Minnesota Republicans have fully embraced his hateful and divisive policies. If they win in 2022, they’ll waste no time enacting laws to suppress the vote, restrict access to abortion, cut public education, and so much more.
Every single contribution helps us in the fight to make sure this doesn’t happen, and right now, we need your help more than ever. Nora and I just ran a progress report, and we’ve fallen way behind this month. To get back on track, we need to raise at least $8,000 by Friday.
Will you pitch in $5 (or whatever works today) to help us keep our budget on track so we can continue our critical work? Nothing we do is possible without your ongoing support.
