Welcome to Wednesday, September 15th, coffee drinkers and tea enthusiasts,

Gavin Newsom has survived a GOP attempt to remove him from office as California’s governor.

"'No' is not the only thing that was expressed tonight," Newsom said Tuesday night.

"We said yes to science, yes to vaccines, yes to ending this pandemic."

Golden State voters were asked two questions: should Newsom be replaced, and if he is recalled, who out of his 46 opponents in the election should take his place?

A day before the election - before any tallies had been announced - Larry Elder, the Republican front-runner, launched an "anti-voter fraud" website that noted fraud had been detected "resulting in Governor Gavin Newsom being reinstated as governor."

North Korean state media KCNA described the missile as “a strategic weapon of great significance” which implies it may be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

KCNA reported that the cruise missile has a range that would cover the entirety of the Korean Peninsula and most of the Japanese archipelago: an area that includes numerous U.S. military bases in South Korea and Japan, including Okinawa.

The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) on Sunday released the following statement about the reported tests:

“We are aware of reports of DPRK cruise missile launches. We will continue to monitor the situation and are consulting closely with our allies and partners. This activity highlights DPRK’s continuing focus on developing its military program and the threats that poses to its neighbors and the international community. The U.S. commitment to the defense of the Republic of Korea and Japan remains ironclad.”
