GOP Governors Respond to Biden's Vaccine Mandate

President Joe Biden last week announced that businesses with over 100
employees must require either vaccines or weekly COVID testing for
workers. This federal vaccine mandate could impact more than 100 million
people, but Republican governors are not letting this unconstitutional
move happen without a fight.

* President Biden made his disregard for states' rights clear

while announcing the vaccine mandate:

"If these governors won't help...I'll use my powers as president to
get them out of the way."

* Following President Biden's announcement, Senior White House
advisor Cedric Richmond affirmed that the president will steamroll any
governor who attempts to stand in his way:

"Those governors who stand in the way, I think it was very clear from
the president's tone today, that he will run over them..."

* However, numerous Republican governors immediately announced

their intentions to fight this order and stick up for their
constituents' individual freedoms - despite threats from the White
House.

**Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp:** "I will pursue every legal option
available to the state of Georgia to stop this blatantly unlawful
overreach by the Biden administration."

**South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem:** "My legal team is standing by ready
to file our lawsuit the minute @joebiden files his unconstitutional
rule. This gross example of federal intrusion will not stand."

**Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey:** "This dictatorial approach is wrong,
un-American and will do far more harm than good. How many workers will
be displaced? How many kids kept out of classrooms? How many businesses
fined? The vaccine is and should be a choice. We must and will push
back."

**Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves:** "The vaccine itself is life-saving,
but this unconstitutional move is terrifying. This is still America, and
we still believe in freedom from tyrants."

**Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis:** "How could we get to the point in the
country where you would want to have someone lose their job because of
their choice about the vaccine or not?...I do not believe that people
should lose their jobs over this issue, and we will fight that."

Many more Republican governors also signalled their intent to fight
President Biden's overreaching order every step of the way. Forcing
Americans to either accept a vaccine or risk losing their jobs is an
outrageous overreach from the Biden Administration. Fortunately,
Americans in red states will have governors who will fight for them -
and their rights.

White House Praises Murderous Taliban

As the White House attempts to continue evacuations out of now
Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, it released a highly controversial
statement last week praising the terrorist-harboring group for their
help.

* More than 100 Americans were believed to be left behind after the
U.S. military withdrew from the country on President Biden's August
31st deadline. Now, the White House has been forced (due to its own
failures) to cooperate with the Taliban to get those Americans out.

* National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne praised

the Taliban for their cooperation in an official statement:

"They have shown flexibility, and they have been businesslike and
professional in our dealings with them in this effort."

* This statement understandably led to public outrage, as the United
States has been fighting against the Taliban for the last 20 years in
its effort to establish a democratic, free society in Afghanistan. Gold
Star mother Jill Stephenson slammed

the White House:

"Wow, the first word that comes to mind ... was blasphemous, horribly
blasphemous. To call the Taliban that - it's absolutely disgusting.
And it's coming from the White House."

The White House's decision to compliment the Taliban adds to the long
list of mind-boggling decisions it has made on Afghanistan. Hopefully,
the Biden Administration will apologize to Afghanistan veterans and
their families for the statement.
