Facebook recently said it was "free speech" for politicians to actively lie in Facebook ads. CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifies to Congress Wednesday. Tell Facebook to block ads that lie, just like TV networks do.

"Mark Zuckerberg pre-screened questions at a public event this week. Luckily, I have a chance to ask him tough questions on Wednesday...As always, I’ll be studying before this hearing and thinking hard about the best questions to ask." -- Progressive Congresswoman Katie Porter

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently changed policy to actively allow lies in paid ads after meeting with Donald Trump at the White House. He called it "free speech."

Trump spends a million dollars a week on online ads. Facebook's policy of allowing lies could impact the election. Sign the petition telling Facebook they should ban ads that clearly lie, just like TV networks do. (And share your thoughts with Katie Porter about what to ask Zuckerberg here.)

Today, CNN wrote, "Rep. Katie Porter isn't part of 'The Squad.' But the freshman House Democrat is stirring up trouble for President Trump."

The New Republic wrote, "California’s Katie Porter studied under Elizabeth Warren. Now she’s going viral by schooling Republicans on Capitol Hill."

With your help, we can make sure Mark Zuckerberg squirms...and changes policy so Facebook doesn't distort the presidential election again.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here.
