Hey--

We wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to see how Democrat Eddie Mauro is leading a grassroots effort to ban messages of hate and weapons of mass violence from gun shows:

KCCI: Nazi symbols, Nazi symbols, bomb materials being sold at gun show “Nazi propaganda and bomb making materials were sold on the Iowa State Fairgrounds during a gun show last month. A Democratic candidate for Iowa Senate is calling on the Fair Board to not let it happen again. Eddie Mauros Senate campaign sent a letter and photos to the Iowa State Fair this week asking them not to allow future vendors to sell products with Nazi symbols or dangerous weapons at the fairgrounds.

Des Moines Register: Vendors who appeal to racism, anti-Semitism to sell guns, ammo shouldn't use fairgrounds. Mauro sent a letter to the fair board and director Tuesday, expressing outrage. He called the Nazi propaganda, weapons and bomb-making materials at the Sept. 20 gun show, “deeply disturbing and shocking.

We Are Iowa: Nazi items, bomb materials at fairgrounds gun show. A person can go into this gun show that they hold here to buy weapons, to buy ammunition, to buy explosives, wrap it all up into an SS flag and purchase it and walk out of here without getting a background check. I think that's a public safety issue for all of us and we should be concerned about that, Mauro said.

Add your name to our petition and call on Republicans Joni Ernst and Mitch McConnell to pass universal background checks and take action to ban explosive-making materials and bigotry from gun shows.
