John, it's time
to expand the Supreme Court.
Just weeks ago, the Supreme Court blocked the Biden Administration's
eviction moratorium leaving millions of households to face eviction in the
midst of a worsening pandemic.
And only days later, the conservative majority quietly upheld one of the
most restrictive abortion laws on the books in a 5-4 decision, effectively
overturning Roe v. Wade in the middle of the night.
In the span of only one week, the Supreme Court has endangered the rights
and lives of millions of people. To be clear: These were political
decisions. This is what far-right extremism looks like.
Cori knows that in order to restore balance on the Court, we must expand

John, this is a
matter of our democracy. The court is currently run by conservative
justices including two who have been accused of sexual abuse — meanwhile
cases on abortion, health care, gun safety, and more are on the court's
docket for the fall.
For years, the far-right has been planning a takeover of the courts on
every level. Mitch McConnell even changed the rules so he could pack the
Supreme Court with ultra-conservative judges. Make no mistake,
Trump-appointed justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney
Barrett were picked because of their political beliefs.
The GOP will stop at no end to restrict our rights and destroy our
democracy, and we cannot stand by and let this happen.
