John, you and I know that the outcome of today’s recall could change the future of our party. The polling has improved and we look close to defeating the GOP. But if we don’t? Losing California’s governorship would give Republicans an opportunity to lead a Democratic stronghold we depend on to win everything from the White House to the Senate majority. And if that’s not bad enough, it would give Republicans the confidence to try to recall their way into power in other Democratic strongholds nationwide.

Races like this recall are winnable, but we need Democrats to step up and show our grassroots strength.
