This May, news broke that CVS Health, the largest health care corporation
on the planet, had quietly become the largest single donor to the
corporate effort to stop Medicare for All.^1

That’s why last week, we hosted a panel discussion featuring anti-monopoly
experts, journalists, and activists where we mapped out a plan to fight
back against CVS Health’s corporate greed.

Now we’re ready to take the next step with a National Day of Action this
Saturday at CVS stores across the country.

your name, and we’ll send you all the instructions and info you need.

Just in case you missed the panel discussion, we’ll get you up to speed.

To kick off the panel, Jean Ross, RN and President of National Nurses
United, shared details about CVS Health’s practices and why nurses oppose
them. Nurses know how desperately we need a single payer, Medicare for All
system — and in order to win, we must take on the health care
corporations.

Next, Fordham professor of law and anti-monopoly expert and activist,
Zephyr Teachout, discussed CVS’s move toward monopolization in recent
years. This move matches a broader trend of corporate consolidation across
the economy — but movements like ours can use corporate campaigning to
push back.

Then, we heard from Andrew Perez, one of the journalists that helped
unearth CVS’s connection to the number one dark-money lobbying group
fighting Medicare for All. He shared how big corporations like CVS exert
influence on Congress.

Finally, James Rucker, the co-founder of Color of Change and a leader of
Majority Action, talked about his past and present work on successful
corporate campaigns. We learned how mass participation – having all hands
on deck – can make all the difference when fighting corporate greed.

With the support of these esteemed panelists, we’re ready to take the next
step in our fight against CVS Health’s corporate greed.
And we
want you to join us.

This Saturday, September 18th, Medicare for All activists around the
country will take action to make sure CVS Health hears loud and clear that
we won't accept their efforts to undermine Medicare for All. And to make
the greatest impact, we need as many supporters as possible to act with
us. All of the actions will be taken individually and outside.

These actions will send a powerful message to CVS Health and any
corporation who chooses to fund dark money lobbying groups and block
health care reform.
