Friend,
The Republican attack on abortion rights in Texas is an attack on the health and wellbeing of every Texas woman. It’s time for Congress to get serious about reproductive freedom, and stop letting Mitch McConnell and the Supreme Court be the sole arbiters of federal abortion policy.
Stacked with conservative justices by Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell, the Supreme Court upheld an extreme, radical abortion ban in Texas making it virtually impossible for many women to access abortion healthcare. A few days later, Texas enacted a despicable voter suppression law, making it increasingly difficult for Black and Brown voters to access the ballot box.
The Justice Department is rightfully suing Texas over its new abortion ban. And with the midterm elections rapidly approaching, it’s critical that we build the resources right now to defend and expand our Senate majority so that we can abolish the filibuster, expand the Supreme Court, and codify Roe v. Wade and voting rights legislation into law.
Friend, my final mid-month fundraising deadline of the fundraising quarter is two days away. Can you pitch in right now to ensure I have the necessary resources to do everything possible to support our Senate incumbents and expand our Senate majority?

It’s important that we don’t get discouraged by these abominable policies. If anything, we need to become more resilient and determined to restore basic liberties to our friends in Texas. While these times are difficult and dark, I promise there is a path forward.
Thank you for being an important part of my team.
— Tina
