Dear Defender of Wildlife,
At the end of the day, it's plain old greed that's killing the wildlife we love.
Greed is what's bringing massive thumper trucks to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. That's how an industrial oil invasion of our most precious wilderness will start: thumper trucks generating seismic waves that can cause polar bear snow caves to collapse, crushing mother bears and cubs to death.
Greed is why major drillers, miners and developers have been charging ahead to get the Trump administration to eviscerate the Endangered Species Act.
And greed – with a dash of loathing – is why gray wolves in states like Wyoming and Idaho are running for their lives.
That's what we're fighting every day. And it's why we need you to fight with us until these animals are safe.
We call our monthly giving program the Wildlife Guardians. And that's exactly what you are – a guardian standing in the way of the rampant greed that has put so many animals in danger.
As a Wildlife Guardian, you'll be a critical champion for wildlife – in the field, in the courts and in Congress. And you'll also wake up every morning with the assurance that you're doing your part to save the wildlife we love.
Greed will never disappear entirely. But neither will love. Neither will determination. And with your help, neither will the collective power of people like you speaking up for wildlife with no voice of their own.
And let me be the first to welcome you as one of our newest Guardians.
Thank you for all you do.
Sincerely,
Jamie Rappaport Clark |
