Ending daily housekeeping would eliminate up to an estimated 39% of all U.S. hotel housekeeping jobs. Tell Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta to do the right thing for guests and housekeepers: clean rooms every day!

Hilton: Hotel rooms should be cleaned every day. UNITE HERE. Three people in housekeeping uniforms standing in front of a brick wall.

Hi John,

I’ve been a Hilton housekeeper for three and a half years, and I’ve never seen anything like these hotel rooms during the pandemic. In all my years cleaning rooms, it has never been this bad. The rooms are so dirty because Hilton no longer offers automatic daily housekeeping to its guests.

Sign the petition to tell Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta that hotel rooms should be cleaned every day!

Guests still pay high prices for a room, but Hilton thinks it can take advantage of a crisis to make standard services “on demand.” This makes my job more painful because the rooms get so much dirtier when they go days without cleaning, and I have to use stronger chemicals to get them clean to our high standard.

My shoulder hurts after cleaning all these rooms at checkout. Lifting mattresses and scrubbing bathroom glass in so many checkout rooms causes me significant pain. During COVID-19, I went to physical therapy and purchased countless bottles of pain pills and tubes of pain relief creams.

Now hotel guests and housekeepers are joining forces and taking action, telling Hilton that hotel rooms should be cleaned every day. Hotels pay attention to what guests want. You can make a difference.

With your support, we can win a recovery where everyone comes back stronger. Sign the petition and tell Hilton that hotel rooms should be cleaned every day.

Sincerely,
