Credential Engine's Fourth Annual State Convening: Credential Engine will host its fourth annual State Convening virtually on November 30, 2021! Join us to learn how we can work “Toward a More Transparent Credential Landscape Through Policy, Leadership, and Equity ([link removed]) .” We know there are nearly one million ([link removed]) unique credentials available in the United States, each one representing an opportunity for people to get ahead. But people lack the necessary and timely information to find the best education and training opportunities for them. State policymakers and agencies have the important responsibility of ensuring their residents have the information they need to make well-informed decisions, especially during this time of economic recovery and continued labor market uncertainty.
Join Credential Engine’s free virtual convening to hear from thought leaders in the learn and work ecosystem about concrete solutions and opportunities states can leverage to equitably address these challenges. Together, stakeholders can work to create a more transparent credential landscape that can illuminate paths to a better future for people, industry, and states. Register today. ([link removed])

State-Specific Credential Reports: Credential Engine, in partnership with the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness, has produced a series of national reports (“Counting U.S. Postsecondary and Secondary Credentials ([link removed]) ”) that have become the authoritative accounts of the credentialing landscape in the United States. We are now able to prepare customized, state-specific reports ([link removed]) that will bring greater insights into the credential landscape within states. These reports will provide an inventory of credentials offered by in-state providers, with breakdowns by occupation and industry, as well as attainment rates and earnings by key demographics where available. These reports are intended to help state leaders take stock of their existing credential ecosystem, lay the groundwork for a more transparent credential landscape, benchmark with other states, guide investments
in education and training, get further insights into progress toward advancement goals, and help push policy goals forward. Read the full prospectus. ([link removed])

Credential Engine Joins the State Equitable Recovery Coalition: The State Equitable Recovery Coalition ([link removed]) is an initiative started by National Governors Association (NGA) in partnership with Education Strategy Group and supported by the Siemens Foundation. We join 18 organizations that are committed to driving sustainable, equitable recovery and growth after the economic disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic while leveraging the opportunity to address issues related to workforce, education, public services, and racial and economic justice. Credential Engine is excited to bring its expertise into these important conversations as we work together to help advance this mission. Learn more. ([link removed])

The New Credential Finder: An Example of What Is Possible— Join the Credential Engine team for a webinar on September 15, 2021, as we launch a new version of the Credential Finder ([link removed]) —a web-based application that allows users to search, find, and compare credential information. While fully functional, the Credential Finder is intended to serve as an inspiration for the types of custom applications that organizations, institutions, and agencies can develop. The goal for these tools is to make it easy for people—learners, workers, educators, providers, employers, etc—to find and act upon the various credential opportunities available to them. Join us as the Credential Engine team provides an overview of the Finder, some key innovations in this version, and inspires ideas on the types of custom applications we can help develop! Register today.

Credential Engine CTDL Terms Proposal Webinar: Credential Engine’s technology team has been hard at work to extend the Credential Transparency Description Language (CTDL)—the preeminent language providing a common understanding and “rules of the road” to describe credentials. The CTDL contains over 500 terms that align existing credential data across the country, regardless of provider. Credential Engine has been collaborating with various partners on extensive spec development efforts to enhance the CTDL. Join us as the Credential Engine team provides an overview of the proposed CTDL expansions. Register today. ([link removed])
