John -

Fossil fuel companies have received massive tax breaks from Congress for more than 100 years. That is absurd.

In the coming weeks, Congress has the chance to reverse these ridiculous tax benefits for Big Oil, but news just broke that the fossil fuel industry is launching a lobbying blitz to derail any chance at ending these subsidies.[1]

Big Oil knows that their time is up and that pressure from our climate movement could defeat their lobbying blitz. They're scared.

That is why we need to keep up the pressure now more than ever before, and we can't do it without you:

Can you please make a contribution today to help us fight back against Big Oil's lobbying blitz? We can win this fight, and we can't stop now.

It is ludicrous to think that during unprecedented climate disasters around the world, the fossil fuel industry is receiving subsidies from Congress that can actually boost profits on oil drilling projects by as much as 11 percent. And for the projects that were already profitable, these subsidies line the pockets of fossil fuel CEOs.

Enough is enough.

The situation in Congress right now is that oil lobbyists only need a handful of members of Congress to protect their fossil fuel subsidies. But our movement has the chance to cut off the financial flows to the fossil fuel industry — and our opponents know we have the momentum on our side.

Chip in today to help us defeat the single most lucrative federal subsidy to the oil industry.

More than anything else, the fossil fuel industry wants our movement to give up hope for our climate — but the end of the fossil fuel era is here. They know it. You know it. And I know it. So thank you for chipping in today to fight back and help our movement grow.

In solidarity,
