Dear Friend,

In just two weeks, on Saturday September 25th, Race Forward will present #RaceAnd: Our Present, Our Future, Race Forward’s first intergenerational event of its kind. This dynamic event has been designed by youth and young adult activists and will highlight the critical role they play using organizing, art, cultural, narrative, and policy strategies to strike powerful blows to structural racism in the United States. During the conference, seasoned activists will work alongside youth activists to develop strategies for continuing the global movement to defend Black Lives.

Important update: Tickets are available at early bird prices and we have a limited number of scholarships available for youth who are organizers or are interested in racial justice work. Please email [email protected] for more information.

#RaceAnd: Our Present, Our Future will be headlined by Isra Hirsi, co-founder and co-executive director of the United States Youth Climate Strike, and the daughter of U.S Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Isra is a leading climate justice activist working at the forefront of building power to positively impact our world. Isra will be talking on the main stage with another special guest, Alex Golden-Wolf, a two-spirit indigenous land defender of the White Earth Nation who has been working on the frontlines of the Stop Line 3 efforts.
