The Washington Post:
“Amazon union election results should be scrapped over improprieties”
A while back, I talked to you about workers at an Amazon warehouse in Alabama voting against forming a union -- I told you it wasn’t a fair fight.
Last month, a federal labor official confirmed as much to be true, saying Amazon pressured its workers to vote against joining a union and prevented a free and fair election. Now, they’re recommending that the warehouse hold a new election.
Americans are working twice as hard for far less than they deserve, and a union card is a ticket to a middle-class life. It’s no surprise that over half of American workers would join a union if they could, because for too many, hard work isn’t paying off like it should.
Take a look:

Unions empower workers to fight for better wages, conditions, and benefits, but too often, corporations like Amazon use their power to crush union drives.
Union jobs are essential to rebuilding our economy so it works for everyone -- not just corporations. I introduced the Protecting the Right to Organize Act -- the PRO Act -- to empower workers, protect their right to organize a union, and combat corporate intimidation, and I’m working with my colleagues in the Senate and the Biden Administration to get it over the finish line.
But I need grassroots activists like you to raise your voices and amplify the overwhelming public support for unions. We’re gathering support and I’m hoping you’ll add your name, too. [[link removed]]
