John,

Senate Democrats just introduced a new national voting rights bill. Here's what's in it:

Automatic voter registration (includes online) - Great!

Same day voter-registration - Great!

No excuse vote-by-mail - Phenomenal, but we need to hear more details.

Drop boxes - looks promising!

Voters are able to use provisional ballots in other precincts - Great!

People with felony convictions have a path to voting after they are released from prison - Great!

Strict standards on voter roll purges - Great!

Push back against the partisan effect on local election officials - Great!

Paper ballots - Helps make our elections more secure.

Makes Election Day a national holiday - Great!

National standard for voter ID - Details are still unclear. While voter ID requirements are usually a step back, this standard might only apply to states that already have a voter ID law. If that is the case, this could be a good compromise to get this bill passed.

John, today can be one of the most important days in voting rights protection. We need you to chip in to make sure this bill passes the Senate?

------------

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $21 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
