** Arab American National Museum Grand Gala
------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday, Oct. 16, The Henry

Presented by the Friends of AANM, the Grand Gala ([link removed]) celebrates AANM’s singular role as the first and only museum dedicated to telling the Arab American story. This year, AANM welcomes the National Arab Orchestra ([link removed]) , featuring vocalists Usama Baalbaki
([link removed]) and Nibal Malshi
([link removed]) , as entertainment for the evening.

The Grand Gala ([link removed]) is more than a fundraiser; it is a festive reunion of our resilient Arab American community and a celebration of strength and hope. Find all event details on the AANM website ([link removed]) .

Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, particularly the highly contagious Delta variant, AANM respectfully asks that all Gala attendees be fully vaccinated before attending the event. Please plan to provide proof of vaccination upon arrival to the event. Wearing face masks will be optional, though strongly encouraged.

Digital Inclusion Program
As we conclude another successful year of Digital Inclusion, we are sharing reflections from our student graduates on Facebook ([link removed]) and Instagram ([link removed]) . Digital Inclusion, our technology-based youth program gives metro Detroit students the opportunity to gain technology training, leadership development, financial literacy and important life and employment skills.

We are so grateful to our amazing community partners that made this program possible: Comcast MBCUniversal, DTE Foundation, Ford Motor Company Fund and TE Connectivity.

People of ACCESS Series
Check out our People of ACCESS feature of Hajj Haider Koussan, owner of Super Greenland Market.

“Sometimes the answer to building bridges is food," Koussan says.

As a leader in the community, Haider is always giving back to the people who empowered and supported him. Sometimes, that means doing acts of services. Other times, it means financially supporting causes that are important to him and his family.
