John,
Today is the day. Californians up and down the state are casting their ballots in the recall election and determining the future of our state.
This is a turnout election. If California Democrats vote, we win, it's that simple. If you haven’t yet cast your ballot, here are your options for voting.
- Every California voter was mailed a ballot. You can return your completed ballot to:
- Any polling place in the state between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Election Day;
- The office of your county elections official; or
- Any one of your county’s ballot drop boxes. Your ballot must be delivered no later than the close of polls at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
- You may also authorize someone to return the ballot on your behalf.
- Anyone may return your ballot for you, as long as they do not get paid on a per ballot basis. In order for your ballot to be counted, you must fill out the authorization section found on the outside of your ballot envelope.
- You can choose to vote in person at a polling place or vote center. To find the closest in-person voting location near you, visit: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place
Remember, if you’re in line when the polls close, STAY IN LINE. You will still be able to vote.
If you have any questions about voting, please contact our Voter Protection Team at (877) 321-VOTE. Our team of volunteers and attorneys are working through election day to ensure that California voters have the information they need to submit their ballots.
If you’ve already voted, thank you. Please check with your friends and family to make sure they have a plan to vote today. The stakes are far too high to leave this election up to chance.
See you at the finish line.
