A quarter of UK food, and a third of fruit and vegetables, contains pesticide cocktails, as do UK flowers, water and soil.

Despite evidence that these cocktails can harm human health and wildlife, safety levels are set for just one pesticide at a time, ignoring the ‘Cocktail Effect’.

Pesticides appear in millions of different combinations, making it impossible to protect against the Cocktail Effect. The only solution is to reduce pesticide use.
