John -- A few weeks ago, the chair of the Hamilton County GOP publicly advised Ohio Republicans to manipulate the maps to give the party a lock on power.
It looks like they're taking his advice.

Let's break it down:
-- The GOP's proposed maps would give Republicans 66% of state House and Senate seats, even though in recent years they've only received 54% of the vote.
-- Control over 66% of seats would give Republicans supermajorities in the legislature -- which means that even if voters elect a Democratic governor, legislative Republicans would be able to overturn that governor's veto!
But that's not all. This map is an insult to the spirit and letter of the redistricting reform Ohioans passed in 2015. Once again, Republicans are choosing to ignore the will of voters.
We still have time to stop them. In Ohio and other states, we've built a movement that is fighting back against these egregious gerrymandering attempts. But how this fight ends depends on whether we have enough resources, and that's why we need you right now.
