Cori just took a critical step to help ensure people are housed during
this pandemic.

Here's a short recap of what we've been doing: Since joining Congress in
January, Cori has been advocating for those most at risk of eviction. She
helped secure $21.6 billion in emergency rental assistance funds,
introduced the Unhoused Bill of Rights to permanently end the housing
crisis by 2025, and spent days outside of the Capitol last month calling
on President Biden to extend the eviction moratorium.

Today, Cori introduced the Emergency Rental Assistance Program Improvement
Act to make it easier for eligible individuals and families to access
emergency rental assistance. Passing this bill is a necessary next step in
addressing the housing crisis in our country.



Cori is determined to prevent any more people from being evicted, but she

Currently, $46.5 billion has been allocated to be used for emergency
rental assistance funding, but only 11% of it has been distributed to
those facing eviction — Cori's bill will help fix that.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program Improvement Act would allow people
to apply for rental assistance directly in their communities at key
locations like public schools, libraries, public housing agencies, transit
systems, the post office, and more.
