In the fight for a stronger and more resilient future, I Make America seeks to spotlight our supporters who are standing up and telling their stories about how infrastructure impacts them.
Joseph, an electrical engineer and I Make America supporter, shares why he wants to believe the U.S. will once again be the world leader in infrastructure and shares his fears for future generations if we do nothing: “I work in a critical construction field that makes concrete mixer trucks. These products are used everywhere in small and huge jobs to "pave" the way for future American growth. I support updating America's aging infrastructure not only for my own job, but more importantly so that my children will live in a modern, safe, and competitive America.
When I was a kid, I heard stories of America's growth and promise from my grandparents and father. Today, I still see the greatest country in the world, but it has grown older and no longer boasts of the tallest skyscrapers and fastest-growing technology. I dream of new highways, grand bridges, rail systems other countries envy, and a modern electrical and highway system that is incomparable.
I support spending on infrastructure not only because it provides my colleagues and I a job well into the future, but also because (as we say in the concrete mixer business), modern infrastructure "cements" the US as the world leader for years to come.”
