Tomorrow, California will decide through a recall election if Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom will remain in office. In the last 20 years, this is the second recall election in the state and brings with it several nationwide political implications.
National Political Consequences
How will a winner be decided? There are two questions on the ballot that were mailed to 22 million registered voters. First, should Newsom be recalled? Second, who should replace him? If a majority votes "yes" on Question 2, Newsom will be recalled.
