It’s vital that we reach this goal because we're facing another FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline at the end of this month. Shortly after September 30, our campaign will file a public report detailing how much we’ve fundraised this quarter—from July to September. Everyone—from the political media to the GOP—will be very eager to see the results of our report. And the GOP will look at our numbers to not only determine how strong our movement is, but to also determine how many resources they need to allocate in order to unseat Katie in 2022 and flip our district.

Week by week, month by month, the donations we receive towards each fundraising goal will add up to build the strongest momentum possible for our movement. But if we fall short, it would be a major setback for our campaign.
The GOP is hoping to see Katie’s support and momentum fizzle out. And if we can’t continue to keep up with our fundraising, it could signal to them that their hopes are coming true.
The only way we can respond and stay competitive is through the grassroots donations from supporters like you. Katie doesn’t take donations from corporate PACs, executives at Big Oil companies or Wall Street banks, or any lobbyists—and whether or not we hit our fundraising goals depend on folks like you chipping into emails like this one.
