We Are the Change: The 2021 PFLAG National Convention is coming!

This year's convention is virtual, more affordable than ever (just $25 for members), and will connect you with dedicated and passionate changemakers from across the country, unified by PFLAG's unwavering commitment to equality and affirmation of LGBTQ+ people everywhere. 

We'll gather from Friday, October 22nd through Sunday, October 24th for great sessions and plenaries, taking deep dives on federal and state legislative issues and advocacy, supporting our trans and nonbinary loved ones, how we're making progress in communities of color and communities of faith, and so much more.

Three Steps to Being a Better Bi+ Ally

Bisexual+ Awareness Week (#BiWeek) begins on September 16th! We’ve got great digital resources to help you take part and continue becoming a better bi+ ally. 

1. Learn: Register for this month’s session of PFLAG Academy Online, “Advanced Bi+ Allyship: Going beyond the “Bi”Nary.” 
2. Watch: If you missed PFLAG Academy Online in July, or need a refresher, be sure to watch our Bisexual+ 101 training here. Take a look at some episodes of Something To Talk About Live! that discuss bisexuality+ from July 2020 and March 2021.
3. Share: Follow some bi+ specific organizations on social media, including Still Bisexual, the Bisexual Resource Center, the Bisexual Organizing Project, and Bi.org. Post messages of support for the bi+ community from September 16 to 23rd, and be sure to use #BiWeek in your posts!

The Equality Act is the closest a broad civil rights bill has come to passage in 30 years. Because we are so close on this, every senate office in the country is getting slammed with calls from people who do not support equal rights. But, there are millions of people like you who DO support equality--let's show them that Our Love Is Louder.

Something to Talk About...Live!

Join PFLAG National live this Thursday, September 16 at 4:30 PM ET/1:30 PM for Something to Talk About Live! This week, we’ll be discussing "Hispanic LGBTQ Individuals Encounter Heightened Discrimination," from Center for American Progress by Lindsay Mahowald. We're looking forward to kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with this conversation.

We're also very excited to welcome legendary activist Bamby Salcedo, president and CEO of TransLatin@ Coalition, to the show this week!
