Team,
My job in Congress is not about politics, it's about public service. Granite Staters have trusted me with a huge responsibility, and it's my job to deliver results for them. With your support, we've been able to move historic legislation in the House of Representatives.
Here's some of what I've been able to accomplish in Congress this year with your support:
- Pushed for urgent state and local funding in the American Rescue Plan and secured $1 billion in assistance for New Hampshire's state government and $500 million for our municipalities.
- Introduced the Clean Water Standards for PFAS Act to regulate harmful PFAS chemicals, hold polluters accountable, and help communities upgrade water systems. These provisions were included in the Bipartisan PFAS Action Act which passed the House in July.
- Passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to protect voting rights. The bill included my provisions to protect young Americans' voting rights by strengthening the 26th Amendment and is integral to defending our democracy.
- Co-sponsored and passed the Equality Act for the second time in the House to prohibit discrimination at the federal level and guarantee protections for LGBTQ Americans.
And we're just getting started. We have more work ahead of us to get our economy back on track, rebuild our infrastructure, and support working families.
But if we're going to keep making progress, I need your help.
National Republicans have made my district one of their top targets. Even now they're preparing to gerrymander me out of Congress to replace me with a Trump-allied far right-winger. Remember, they only need to flip five seats to take back the House majority. If that happens all of the progress we've made will be lost.
But you can stop them. Chip in $10 or more to my reelection campaign to help hold the House majority.
Thank you for being a part of this team,
Chris
