As a mom, I know that pregnancy comes with many different pressures and uncertainty – and that’s when it’s expected. But for moms with an unexpected pregnancy, these feelings can drive them to a desperate place.
I think that’s why the story Jeff Bradford shared in his email last week hit so close to home…
As you may remember, when Deanna found out she was pregnant, her little family was barely hanging on after a hurricane swept away their lives. As a single mom, she was doing everything she could to provide for her little boy. But with every step forward, it felt like they were pushed two steps back.
And now, pregnant with another child, it felt like she had no other choice than to get an abortion.
Unfortunately, her friends were not helping the situation. They harped on Deanna about the “benefits” of abortion. They told her that an abortion was the most convenient option. After all, how could Deanna take on raising another child?
That’s how much Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s damaging messaging has taken root in our culture.
Instead of providing true help and hope to moms like Deanna so they can overcome the challenges in their lives, they sell the lie that women are incapable while profiting off them through abortion. And killing an innocent preborn child has been stripped down to a simple question of convenience and personal preference.

Deanna faced fears and uncertainty that many could never comprehend. But she didn’t need the “quick fix” that the abortion industry offered. She needed to be empowered with long-term love, care, and compassion.
