Workers at Nabisco plants in five states have been on strike for more than a month. They’re protesting brutally long work schedules, pay cuts, and insufficient safety protocols for essential workers in a pandemic. Recently, workers at the Frito-Lay plant in Topeka, KS, went on strike over similar concerns. In Alabama, 1,000 miners have been striking against Warrior Met Coal for nearly six months. These workers need the support of their legislators, and it is disgraceful that the Senate has failed to do its duty. The PRO Act is only one piece of critical legislation being held up by the Democrats’ refusal to abolish the Jim Crow filibuster or put pressure on conservative Democrats like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema standing in our way. Can you pitch in $27 to support our work to elect a Brand New Senate? If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
It’s clear that having a Senate majority isn’t enough to get the job done. We need senators who answer to working people -- not corporate donors. We’re going to elect Charles, Morgan, and Malcolm in 2022 and get some real work done. Adrienne Bell
